National Youth Policy, 2066(2009) has been promulgated with a view to promoting basic norms and values like youths' allegiance to the nation, nationality and the people, fulfillment of the basic needs of the youths, the policy of equality and equitable distribution, constitutional supremacy, personal liberty, principle of universal human rights, democratic norms and values, world peace, coexistence and protection and promotion of basic norms and values like caste, language, culture and environmental heritage. As directed by the Policy, the National Youth Policy, 2072(2015) has been formulated following a review made after five years.
