The Agriculture Development Strategy, 2071 (2014) has stressed on the agroforestry system in order to increase the production and productivity through integrated management of the agricultural land. The National Forest Policy, 2075 (2018) was formulated which National Agroforestry Policy 2019 (2076) 2 incorporates the policy level provisions as: development, expansion and promotion of agroforestry including fruits to make it a means of earning, providing concessional loan in this sector, transferring technology, enhancing capacity of the land owners, promotion, and expansion of industries based in agroforestry.
